Green Card updates for August: EB-1 may become unavailable for Indians

The US Department of State announced Green Card updates for August; FY 2026 ends September 30, and some categories may become unavailable if visa numbers are exhausted.

EB-1 category may become unavailable for Indians if India's pro-rated limit is reached before the fiscal year ends; India's date is October 15, 2022.

EB-2 for India remains unavailable because all FY2026 visa numbers have been allocated; China is at September 1, 2021.

EB-3 advanced one month to September 1, 2024, for most countries; India remains at January 1, 2014.

EB-5 Unreserved remains unavailable for India and is at December 1, 2016, for China; set-aside categories are current for all countries.
