Charles Medina charged over Hannah Rapp's death: 5 things about man who hit boxer with car in Brazos County

Charles Medina was charged with manslaughter for backing his vehicle into cyclist Hannah Rapp in Brazos County, Texas.

Rapp, a 26-year-old boxer, was cycling on FM 159 when Medina passed her and another cyclist, stopped, reversed, and struck her.

Medina, 31, was arrested without incident and booked into Brazos County Detention Center on July 18, 2026, with no bond set.

Authorities described the incident as isolated and the investigation as active and ongoing.

Rapp died at a hospital after being transported from the crash scene.
