Government may seek Parliamentary nod for additional spending

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may seek Parliamentary approval for additional spending due to increased expenditure on fertiliser subsidies and electronics manufacturing initiatives.

GST and direct tax revenues are on track, and DIPAM is being pushed for additional realisations to cushion spending.
