Despite Ranveer and Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Dhar wanted Rakesh Bedi in 'Dhurandhar': Pavan Malhotra

Pavan Malhotra praised Aditya Dhar for casting Rakesh Bedi in 'Dhurandhar' despite the presence of stars like Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Dutt.

Malhotra recalled living in the same building as Rakesh Bedi in Santacruz East during their early days, and worked as an assistant director on 'Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi'.

Rakesh Bedi plays the scheming politician Jameel Jamali in 'Dhurandhar' and 'Dhurandhar 2', earning widespread appreciation.

Bedi, raised in Karol Bagh, left the IIT entrance exam midway to pursue acting, as stability without passion was not enough for him.

Aditya Dhar's work includes 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', 'Article 370', and the 'Dhurandhar' franchise.
