Friend speaks on Nolan Wells' death video

Tracestin Shepherd, a friend of Nolan Wells, broke silence on Good Morning America about the July 4 trip to Horn Island, Mississippi.

Shepherd stated he lost his best friend and that the group has faced online threats and public scrutiny.

Wells' body was found in water near Horn Island two days after disappearing; authorities suggest possible drowning and no foul play, pending autopsy.

Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter confirmed the teenagers cooperated with investigators; Wells' family is conducting an independent investigation.

Shepherd chose not to appear on camera and said, 'We did no wrong here… we all cared and loved Nolan.'
