Bank of Baroda investigates data leak claims by TripleX group

Bank of Baroda is investigating claims of a cybersecurity breach with around 1TB of customer data allegedly leaked on the dark web.

Cybersecurity researcher Srikanth Lakshmanan attributed the alleged breach to TripleX, a cybercrime and data extortion group.

The alleged leaked data includes Aadhaar numbers, account details, loan documents, NetBanking user info, and NRI records.

Bank of Baroda said the incident involved compromise of an employee's email account, not its core banking systems.
