Ramayana actor Chetan Hansraj slams 'keyboard superstars' for backlash to casting and VFX: 'Critics are in dreamland’

Actor Chetan Hansraj, who plays demon Mali in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana', defended the film's casting and VFX against social media critics.

Hansraj praised Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Rama as 'fabulous' and said the cast was finalized after extensive research by Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari.

He called critics 'keyboard VFX superstars' in 'dreamland', saying they don't understand the scale of the film until seen on the big screen.

The trailer introduces Yash as Ravana, Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

The film will release in two parts, with the first part hitting screens; it also stars Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, and Kajal Aggarwal.
