Apara Mehta recalled that on her wedding anniversary, her husband Darshan Jariwala told her they needed to separate, saying 'I’ve fallen out of love with you, do not like you anymore, and you are the ugliest woman I’ve come across in my life.'

The couple has been living separately since 2003 but are not legally divorced.

Despite living apart, they maintain a warm relationship and can complete each other’s sentences.
