CDSCO Flags 159 Substandard Drug Samples As NSQ, Including 14 Linked To Maharashtra

CDSCO flagged 159 drug samples as Not of Standard Quality (NSQ) in June, including 14 from Maharashtra.

Of Maharashtra's 14 NSQ samples, 8 were tested by the FDA's State Drug Testing Laboratory.

Products found NSQ included Paracetamol Paediatric Oral Suspension IP, Tinycold-AF Syrup, Triphala Churna, and Kumkum.

Findings apply only to specific tested batches, not other batches of the same products.

The identification is part of routine surveillance by CDSCO and state regulators under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
