Indian trucker arrested in US over alleged theft of $3 million worth of tungsten powder

Deepak Kumar, a 31-year-old Indian national, was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in California for allegedly stealing nearly $2.86 million worth of tungsten oxide powder.

The theft involved a truck carrying the high-value industrial material, which is used in defense, electronics, and advanced manufacturing, while en route to Japan.

Kumar was reportedly living illegally in the United States at the time of his arrest.
