MADC Seeks Expert To Conduct Techno-Economic Study Of Proposed Vadhavan Offshore Airport In Palghar

MADC seeks bids for a technical consultant to conduct a Detailed Techno-Economic Feasibility Study (TEFS) for the proposed Vadhavan Offshore Airport in Palghar district.

The airport is planned as India's first greenfield offshore international airport, to be developed via a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The project aims to handle up to 90 million passengers annually and is designed to ICAO Code 4F standards with parallel runways and CAT II/III precision approach.

The offshore airport will be built on reclaimed land with extensive marine engineering and is intended to integrate with Vadhavan Port for air, sea, rail, and road connectivity.

MADC has completed a pre-feasibility study identifying Kore Beach as the preferred site, with the Government of Maharashtra's approval, but the consultant may need to find an alternative site if not approved.
