10 arrested for vandalism during Prayagraj protest; 3 FIRs lodged

Prayagraj police arrested 10 suspects for vandalizing vehicles during student protests at Civil Lines on July 25.

Three FIRs were lodged under sections 191 (2), 324 (4) and 109 (1) of the BNS for the incidents.

One arrested individual is a history-sheeter of Naini police station; another works at a hotel, according to DCP Manish Shandilya.

BJP leader Ravindra Kumar Jaiswal filed a complaint alleging his SUV was attacked by protesters who noticed the BJP flag and issued death threats.
