VACB finds no evidence against CM Satheesan in Punarjani-FCRA case, closes probe: Chennithala

Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala announced that the VACB found no evidence against Chief Minister V D Satheesan in the Punarjani-FCRA case and closed all proceedings.

The vigilance probe found no material linking Satheesan to alleged violations of the Foreign Contribution Act or other irregularities in the Punarjani flood rehabilitation project.

The investigation established that Satheesan, who was Leader of the Opposition when the case was registered, had no connection with any financial transaction, as all transactions were through the Manappattu Foundation.

The VACB Director recommended no further proceedings, and the government accepted that recommendation based on the findings.
