Central Railway Restores 3rd Up Line Between Khandala And Monkey Hill Ahead Of Schedule

Central Railway restored the 3rd Up South East line between Khandala and Monkey Hill ahead of schedule.

The first movement after restoration was a banker locomotive crossing the repaired stretch safely.

The line was disrupted since 7 July due to damage in the ghat section on the Mumbai–Pune rail corridor.

Engineers and workers completed the restoration under difficult weather and hilly terrain.

The restoration is expected to improve train movement and normalise services on the busy route.
