Man held for allegedly smuggling cattle in Gurugram, two animals rescued

A 22-year-old man was arrested from Garhi Wajidpur village near Bhondsi, Gurugram for allegedly smuggling cattle in a pickup van.

Police recovered two cattle, including one with multiple injuries, from the van.

The suspect was transporting the animals from Delhi's Nangloi to Tapukada in Bhiwadi district, Rajasthan for illegal slaughter.

The suspect earned up to ₹50,000 per trip and had smuggled several cattle over the past year on the same route.

An FIR was registered under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Act.
