'Entire system working to protect Brij Bhushan': Vinesh Phogat says wrestlers to continue fight

Vinesh Phogat says wrestlers will appeal against the acquittal of former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Phogat alleged that the state machinery, government, and system worked to protect Brij Bhushan throughout the case.

The court acquitted Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and co-accused Vinod Tomar in the sexual harassment case filed by six women wrestlers.

Brij Bhushan welcomed the verdict, calling it an 'honourable' acquittal, and said he would comment further after reading the detailed order.

The court had reserved its verdict on July 2 after hearing final arguments; Delhi Police filed a chargesheet in June 2023.
