HSPCB sealed one DG set, two compressors, and conveyor belts at the Naurangpur RMC plant after NGT scrutiny.

The NGT directed HSPCB to effectively implement the closure order and ensure all operations cease immediately.

HSPCB member secretary Yogesh Kumar expressed regret for delay in action against the plant for violating pollution norms.

The RMC plant had been operating since 2023 without valid authorisation and adequate air pollution control measures.

Residents reported respiratory ailments and that transit mixers continued plying on Taudu Road despite the closure.
