DMK leader Senthil Balaji slams TVK govt, alleges 'political vendetta' behind multiple cases

DMK leader V Senthil Balaji accused Tamil Nadu's TVK government of focusing on cases against political opponents due to 'political vendetta' instead of addressing public grievances.

Searches were conducted at Balaji's room and other locations, leading to a case being registered; he filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Madras High Court, which was dismissed, so he plans to move the Supreme Court.

Balaji has been complying with Supreme Court directions by signing at the police station and answering queries, and he also sought a five-day exemption which was submitted to the Madras High Court.

Balaji noted that one of two arrested individuals was named in the initial FIR, while the other was not, and he mentioned a related Enforcement Directorate case pending before the Supreme Court, with the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption registering a fresh case based on ED filings.
