Sunny Deol's Partition saga Batwara 1947 cleared by CBFC without cuts: Report

Batwara 1947, starring Sunny Deol, has been cleared by the CBFC without any cuts.

The film is based on Asghar Wajahat's play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai and set against the 1947 Partition.

It tells the story of a Mohajir family that occupies a Hindu woman's ancestral home in Lahore.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 14.

Cast includes Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, and others.
