Kerala rain fury: 15 dead, 7 missing as relief camps shelter thousands

Heavy rainfall in Kerala has caused 15 deaths and left 7 missing, with 316 relief camps sheltering 11,018 people.

Chief Minister VD Satheesan announced Rs 10,000 funeral assistance per victim and Rs 10,000 immediate aid for those returning from camps.

The India Meteorological Department issued orange alerts for 10 districts and yellow alerts for 4, with forecasts of isolated heavy rain and winds up to 60 kmph.
