Ballari man held for allegedly killing wife, baby with hammer

Police arrested Honnurappa, 28, in Ballari for allegedly killing his wife Rajeshwari, 24, and their seven-month-old daughter Ashwini with a hammer.

The killings occurred between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm on July 30 at the family's home in Andral village.

The accused allegedly acted after repeated disputes over suspicions that his youngest child was not his.

APMC Yard police arrested Honnurappa on Friday, seized the hammer, and remanded him in judicial custody.

A case was registered under Section 103(1) on a complaint by Rajeshwari's brother, Suresh.
