CBSE 2nd Board results: 3 lakh students improve scores

CBSE declared Class X Second Board Examination 2026 results on July 18, 2026, combining main and second exam pass percentage to nearly 96.8%.
About 3.1 lakh of 5.1 lakh students who took the improvement exam scored higher than in the main exam.
Compartment pass percentage in second exam rose to 52.4%, up from 48.7% last year.
Under CBSE's new two-board system, introduced under NEP 2020, students retain the higher score from the two attempts.
Results are accessible via DigiLocker portal; school-wise results shared via registered emails.
