Over 100 scientists quit Isro, govt steps in to tighten exit norms amid mass resignations: Reports

Over 100 scientists resigned from Isro in recent months, with around 80 from UR Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) and about 20 from Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).
Centre issued a memorandum on July 14 directing Isro centres not to accept resignation or voluntary retirement requests from Group 'A' scientific/technical personnel involved in Gaganyaan and key missions.
All resignation and retirement requests from these personnel must now be referred to the Department of Space.
Isro chairman V Narayana acknowledged the resignations, stating the memorandum aims to prevent disruption of important projects.
