Pay water dues by August 15 or face attachment of property: Delhi Jal Board

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has issued notices to 1,125 commercial properties with water bill dues exceeding ₹25 lakh, warning of property attachment if payments are not made by August 15.
Delhi water minister Parvesh Verma announced the move as part of the Delhi government's drive to recover long-pending water bill arrears.
The DJB has the power to attach and seal properties of defaulters who fail to clear dues or avail the Late Payment Surcharge (LPSC) waiver scheme.
The LPSC waiver scheme allows consumers to pay the principal amount and receive a waiver on late payment surcharge; it is open until August 15 and available to both domestic and commercial consumers.
The government expects the scheme to improve DJB's revenue collection significantly.
