Watch: Clash erupts at Pappu Yadav's press meet; man carrying knife detained

A scuffle broke out during Independent MP Pappu Yadav's press conference outside Parliament's Makar Dwar after a man questioned him over the Ram Temple skit controversy.

The man was carrying a knife and was detained, according to visuals released by ANI.

The altercation comes after Varanasi Police registered an FIR against Rahul Gandhi, Pappu Yadav, Awadhesh Prasad, and others over a protest that allegedly insulted Sanatan Dharma.

The FIR was filed following complaints by seers, who objected to a symbolic skit staged by INDIA bloc MPs over alleged financial irregularities in Ram Temple donations.

During Friday's protest, Pappu Yadav, dressed as a temple priest, enacted a scene of slipping donations into his pockets, which seer Jagatguru Balak Das called 'unforgivable.'
