LCTSL under scanner over ₹4.77-crore ESIC liability, civic chief orders review

Lucknow civic chief Gaurav Kumar ordered a review of LCTSL's ₹4.77-crore ESIC liability.

LCTSL failed to deduct ESIC contributions from contractual workers' wages between 2016 and January 2020.

ESIC recovered ₹2.98 crore and imposed a ₹1.79-crore penalty in October 2025.

LCTSL managing director Vimal Rajan said a report will be submitted in two to three days.

The company is verifying records to determine the exact number of affected employees.
