Gurugram NH48 Traffic Revamp Put On Hold As HSIIDC Redesigns Shankar Chowk Plan Around RRTS Station: Report

HSIIDC has paused the Rs 19.8 crore traffic re-circulation project for NH48's Shankar Chowk–Shyam Chowk stretch in Gurugram.

The project is being redesigned to align with the upcoming RRTS station at Shankar Chowk.

The tender process initiated in April was withdrawn after the RRTS station layout was cleared in March.

The original plan included widening service roads from 7 to 14 metres and adding a multi-level foot over bridge.

Peak-hour traffic at Shankar Chowk sees nearly 4,000 vehicles and 1,000 pedestrians every 15 minutes.
