Second theft at Lucknow ACP's house in 5 months; burglars escape with cash, other valuables

Burglars targeted the Lucknow residence of ACP Ranjit Kumar in Rajajipuram, breaking into the ground floor while the ACP lived upstairs.

The theft occurred on Sunday after the ACP returned from duty to find the main room open; a locker was forced open and cash and valuables were stolen.

This is the second burglary at the same property in five months; a March 25 theft of jewellery and ₹50,000 remains unsolved.

The incident occurred under the Talkatora police station limits at the residence of engineer Sudhanshu, whose brother is an IAS officer.

Police are investigating, scanning CCTV footage; no written complaint had been filed as of Sunday evening.
