7-year-old dies after assault by mother’s live-in partner

A 7-year-old boy died after being assaulted by his mother's live-in partner Vikas Singh in Ambernath.

The mother had recently separated from her husband and moved from Govandi to Ambernath with her youngest son.

Vikas Singh was an acquaintance of the mother's brother-in-law and had moved in with her.

Police are investigating the assault that led to the child's death.
