South Korea reviews near-shootdown of US military drone near border

South Korean troops nearly shot down an unidentified aircraft near the border with North Korea.

The aircraft was later identified as a U.S. drone participating in a joint exercise.

South Korean military inspectors will visit an army corps on Friday to review the incident.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) announced the inspection.
