India's Jadumani Singh Mandengbam defeated Pakistan's Sumama Rehman via 5-0 unanimous decision in the men's 55kg boxing Round of 16 at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow.

The Manipur pugilist advanced to the quarterfinals, keeping India's boxing medal hopes alive in the category.

Jadumani Singh had previously won against Scotland's Aaron Cullen in the Round of 32, while Rehman received a bye in the opening round.

The first round was closely contested, with Singh using quick feet and counters to edge ahead on the scorecards.

In the second round, Singh imposed his rhythm with sharper combinations, eventually securing a knockdown that changed the momentum.
