'Indian students made us all proud': Greta Thunberg joins London protest in solidarity
Climate activist Greta Thunberg expressed support for the CJP-led student protest in India at a gathering organised by the Students' Federation of India (SFI) in London.
Thunberg said the Indian student protest demonstrated 'the true meaning of people power' and called for international solidarity.
The 36-day agitation by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) led to the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protest began on June 20 and gained momentum after police action on July 20, receiving backing from activists including Sonam Wangchuk.
CJP called off the agitation after the Centre agreed to demands including compensation for families of students who died by suicide after the NEET paper leak and withdrawal of FIRs against protesters.
