Kanwariyas vandalise pickup truck after vehicle allegedly brushed against Kanwar in UP's Muzaffarnagar

A group of kanwariyas including Naveen, Prince, and Navneet vandalised a pickup truck near Khadar Chowk in Purkazi town, Muzaffarnagar, on Wednesday night.

The vehicle allegedly brushed against a 'kanwar' on the Delhi-Haridwar National Highway, angering the pilgrims.

Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control; the pickup was seized and an investigation launched.

Traffic on the Delhi-Haridwar National Highway was briefly affected but later restored.

The annual Kanwar Yatra is scheduled from July 30 to August 11, 2026.
