Mayank Lohar was stabbed to death by co-passenger Roshan Suvarna on a Churchgate-Nalasopara fast local train after an argument over closing the coach door.

Mayank's father Ramesh Lohar met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai Railway Police Commissioner Rakesh Kalasagar to request a fast-track trial.

Both Fadnavis and Kalasagar assured support for expediting the case through a fast-track court.

The Lohar family is seeking to engage public prosecutor Ajay Misar, who represented the victim's family in the Nasrapur minor rape and murder case.
