Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comment on Trisha Krishnan sparks outrage

Udhayanidhi Stalin, former Deputy CM of Tamil Nadu and actor, made a double-entendre comment about Trisha Krishnan during a speech on the Cauvery water issue in Thanjavur.

The comment was made while criticizing Chief Minister Vijay for not addressing the Cauvery water issue; Udhayanidhi said in Tamil that the CM is not opening his mouth about Cauvery but is focused on cases against DMK.

When an audience member chanted Trisha's name, Udhayanidhi smiled and said, roughly translated, "Water comes or not, the water should come. I meant the Cauvery," which was met with cheers.

Internet users slammed the comment as vulgar and indecent, with critics questioning his attitude toward women and his fitness as an opposition leader.
