Swara Bhasker shares video of husband Fahad Ahmad getting detained during Mumbai protest: ‘Shameful state of affairs’

Swara Bhasker posted Instagram videos of husband Fahad Ahmad being detained by Mumbai Police during a protest at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar on July 20, 2026.

The protest was against the forcible removal of activist Sonam Wangchuk from his hunger strike in Delhi and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over exam paper leaks.

Fahad Ahmad was released after about three-and-a-half hours at 8 pm from Mahim Police Station.

Mumbai Police allegedly detained around 300 protesters in Dadar during the demonstration.
