Man found murdered in Canada’s Ontario province immigrated from India in 2022

Taranpreet Singh Sidhu, a 29-year-old truck driver from Brampton, Ontario, was found dead in a sewage culvert in Hamilton on July 17, 2026.

Sidhu immigrated to Canada from India in 2022 and lived in Brampton and Halifax while working as a truck driver.

Hamilton Police Homicide Unit confirmed his death is a homicide; cause of death is not yet released.

Police believe he was killed elsewhere and his body dumped; the investigation is ongoing with assistance from Peel Regional Police.

Authorities are appealing for information on Sidhu's movements before his death and reviewing video and digital evidence.
