Torrential rain triggered a flood-like situation in Palghar district's Dahanu and Talasari talukas, with water entering houses and shops in Bordi and surrounding areas.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a Red Alert for the district, warning of continued heavy rainfall.

Railway tracks were submerged between Gholvad and Umargam and between Vangaon and Dahanu, leading to suspension of Western Railway train services and cancellation of several long-distance trains.

Road traffic was disrupted by waterlogging on key routes like the Palghar–Boisar road, and power outages occurred due to uprooted trees from severe winds.

All schools in Palghar district were declared closed by the District Collector as heavy rain is forecast to persist.
