Not enough funds, RGUHS rejects proposal on fee diversion

RGUHS rejected the state government's proposal to divert admission fees from government medical colleges for college maintenance.

The university cited financial constraints due to spending on its Ramanagara campus development and new medical colleges in Ramanagara, Kanakapura, and Bagalkot.

The academic council recommended that fees from government medical colleges remain with RGUHS to cover operational expenses.

RGUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr. Bhagavan B C stated that the funds are needed for ongoing projects.
