Chandigarh: Former SDM’s husband moves application for discharge from 2017 graft case

Dheeraj Dutt, husband of former HCS officer Shilpy Pattar, moved a discharge application in a 2017 graft case before a Chandigarh CBI court.

The case stems from a CBI trap on August 5, 2017, after a complainant alleged Pattar demanded ₹5 lakh to de-seal a showroom in Sector 26.

Dutt argues he was falsely implicated, the original complaint did not name him, and the CBI verification report recommended case only against co-accused GS Brar.

Dutt claims no documentary evidence links him to the offence and that he objected to CBI attempts to falsely implicate his wife, leading to planted evidence.

The case is at the stage of framing of charges; Pattar, Dutt, and Brar were arrested for alleged bribe of ₹50,000 during the trap.
