AHTU Busts Two Flesh Trade Rackets In Beed; Six Women Rescued

The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) raided two locations in Beed, Maharashtra, busting two flesh trade rackets on Wednesday night.

Six women were rescued during the operation; five persons were booked under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

Police seized cash, vehicles, mobile phones and other material valued at ₹5.21 lakh.

At Charata Cross Road, a woman was taken into custody after a decoy customer paid ₹1,000 for prostitution; one woman was rescued and six unused condoms were seized.

At a massage centre in Bahirwadi on the Dhule–Solapur National Highway, five women were rescued, allegedly brought from places including West Bengal, and seven male customers were found.
