NHRC registers case in Himanshu murder; Karni Sena chief wants CBI or SIT probe under HC judge

NHRC registered a case in the fatal chopper attack on youth Himanshu Singh under Bistupur police station.

Karni Sena chief Raj Shekhawat demanded a CBI probe or SIT monitored by a retired High Court judge into Himanshu Singh's murder.

Jharkhand Human Rights Conference president Manoj Mishra alleged Himanshu Singh and Pratyush Anand were attacked in front of police.

The attack led to violation of Article 21 right to life; demands include exemplary action against police personnel and assailants.

Condolence meeting for Himanshu Singh scheduled for August 30; protest threatened if no action or job for his widow.
