Pacer Nabi’s Test call-up reward for excelling in domestic cricket

Auqib Nabi replaced injured Jasprit Bumrah in India's Test squad for the two-match series in Sri Lanka.

Nabi took 104 wickets in the last two Ranji Trophy seasons, including 60 in 2025-26, and helped Jammu and Kashmir win their maiden Ranji Trophy.

Nabi is the third J&K player to receive a senior India call-up, after Parvez Rasool and Umran Malik.

India's seam attack for Sri Lanka includes Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Gurnoor Brar.
