NTA runs on 24 permanent staff, 197 contractual and outsourced hands

National Testing Agency (NTA) has only 24 permanent officials against 197 contractual and outsourced personnel.

NTA managed over 6.6 crore candidate registrations for exams like NEET-UG, JEE, and UGC-NET since 2018.

Contractual staff includes 73 people such as consultants and young professionals, while 124 are outsourced.

The government disclosed 39 permanent posts filled through deputation, but post-wise strength shows 24.

Sixteen additional senior posts have been created at director and joint director levels.
