Trainee IPS officer was ‘extremely possessive’ towards victim: Police

Trainee IPS officer M Uday Krishna Reddy is in jail for allegedly sexually harassing a married woman trainee IPS officer at SVPNPA, according to a police remand report.

Reddy was reportedly 'extremely possessive' and emotionally manipulated the victim, frequently questioning her interactions with others.

The victim severed ties with Reddy and married another person in May, after which Reddy allegedly created fake social media accounts, threatened to release private chats, and contacted her family without consent.

The woman officer was initially impressed by Reddy's humble background and his clearing of UPSC in 2025 after working as a police constable.

The relationship began via Instagram in mid-2025 and was marked by frequent arguments, volatile behavior, and threats of suicide by Reddy.
