Mumbai Sessions Court Rejects Bail Plea Of Accused In Head Constable Vijay Chavan Murder Case

Mumbai Sessions Court rejected the bail plea of Pravin Panpatil, accused in the murder conspiracy of Head Constable Vijay Chavan.
The prosecution alleges that Vijay Chavan's wife Puja conspired with Bhushan Bramhane, Prakash alias Dhiraj Chavhan, and Panpatil to murder him.
The accused allegedly took Vijay to a New Year's Eve party, made him consume liquor, strangled him, and threw his body on railway tracks between Rabale and Ghansoli.
The court cited CCTV footage, witness statements, and evidence of Panpatil purchasing nylon rope and being present with the deceased.
The court noted the grave and heinous nature of the crime and the risk of witness tampering as reasons for denying bail.
