WCD Ministry to observe World Breastfeeding Week 2026 from August 1-7

The Ministry of Women and Child Development will observe World Breastfeeding Week 2026 from August 1-7.

The ministry is raising awareness about the importance of breastfeeding for child survival, growth, and maternal health.

It promotes the 'Golden Hour' practice of initiating breastfeeding within the first hour after birth.
