Sun Pharma recalls 10 eye drop products in India

Sun Pharma has recalled 10 eye drop products in India due to contamination concerns.

The recall was initiated via a confidential letter dated July 17, asking distributors to cease billing and return stock.

Affected products include Depopred 2ML, Brinolar (BKC Free), Brinzotim Eye Drops 5ML BKC Free, Lotepred 5ML, Lotepred 1% Eye Drops 5ML, Lotepred LS 0.2% E/D 5ML, Lotepred T, Nepalact OD Eye Drops 3ML, Nepalact-Z, Toba-F, and Nepalact E/D 5ML.

Sun Pharma states patient safety is the priority and has taken steps in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Experts warn that interruption of treatment for conditions like glaucoma or post-surgery care can have significant consequences; patients should consult their ophthalmologist for alternatives.
