Tej Pratap Yadav, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son and head of the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), was arrested late Saturday night in Patna.
He was produced before a judicial magistrate and remanded to 14-day judicial custody, sent to Beur central jail.

An FIR was registered at Gandhi Maidan Police Station against Yadav on charges of rioting.
His lawyer Jagannath Singh said a bail petition will be filed on Monday.
