Portland fire: Videos show blaze at vacant warehouse on Naito Parkway, smoke visible across downtown

A large fire tore through the abandoned Centennial Mills warehouse on Naito Parkway in downtown Portland, Oregon, on Sunday afternoon.

The Portland Fire Department responded, reporting heavy fire on the first floor extending to the second, and deemed the building unsafe, so they are using only exterior defensive actions.

Significant brown smoke from the fire was visible across downtown Portland, and residents shared videos on social media.

The fire department noted a threat of the fire spreading to other structures on the Centennial Mills compound and was making special arrangements to limit its spread.
